Description |
This telescope has a round parallel brass and mahogany barrel. The mahogany portion of the barrel is covered with thick brown leather with sewn-in loops. The objective lens is mounted in a brass cell which has been screwed into the mahogany barrel. It has an extendable sunshade and a built-in sliding cover, which is missing. The objective is an achromatic doublet. It has three brass draws, a four lens eyepiece, and a tapered eyecup with a sliding cover. It is signed "Dolland London Day or Night" on the eyepiece draw, with the eyecup to the right/ |
