Description |
This telescope has a round parallel brass and mahogany barrel. It has an extendable shade with a screw-on lens cap that has a sliding cover. The objective lens is an achromatic doublet. It has three brass draws, a four lens eyepiece, and a tapered eyecup with a sliding cover. It is signed "Dolland, London Day of Night" on the draw, with the eyecup to the right. The following is engraved on the shade: "Bought by Fredrick Barnett 1795 This glass to stay in the Barnett name JB Lewis 1901" |
