Description |
This telescope has a round tapered wood barrel that is covered with an unknown material and painted white. The objective lens is an achromatic doublet. The short brass shade is not moveable and may have had a lens cap. It has a single brass draw tube, a four lens eyepiece, and a flared eyecup with a swivel cover. The brass parts were originally plated with a silver-colored metal, possibly nickel. It is signed on the draw, with the eyepiece to the right, but wear to the brass has made the writing unreadable. |
