Description |
This telescope has a round parallel brass barrel covered with brown leather, possibly lizard. This covering is a replacement. The push-on cap for the objective is missing. The objective lens is an achromatic doublet and the exterior lens is cracked. It has nine brass draws (an unusually large number), a four lens eyepiece (missing the lens nearest the objective), and a flared eyecup with a sliding cover. It is signed "Adams London" on the smallest draw, with the eyecup to the left. |
