Description |
This pair of opera glasses has curved tapering brass barrels, covered with panels of white mother-of-pearl. The objective lenses are achromatic doublets, contained in brass cells. It has brass tubes, single eyepiece lenses, and flared mother-of-pearl eyecups. The brass frame and other metal parts are gold-plated. Focusing is done with a central thumbwheel. "La Favorite Paris" is inscribed on the face of both eyecups. This name is not listed in the Webster database of makers. A fitted leather carrying case is included. |
