This Nuremberg style compound microscope is mounted on a round wooden base, supported by three legs. The body tube is turned wood and fits atop a ring attached to the legs. The objective lens is located in a wooden cell above the stage. The brass eyepiece is a two lens Huygenian-type and it is secured to the top of the body tube with a collar. The concave mirror is mounted in the center of the base, on a tiltable wooden mount. There is no makerís signature.
