The James C. Wyant College of Optical Sciences cordially invites students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of the college to join us on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom for the 2024 Spring Convocation Ceremony. A light reception will immediately follow the program. Guests are allowed and there is no limit on number of guests per graduating student. Tickets are not required to attend. Full details here.

Have you worked on any projects this school year using CODE V, LightTools, LucidShape, RSoft Photonic Device Tools, or Photonic Solutions software? Perhaps you participated in the Practical Optics Workshop this year? Apply those talents and submit your project to the student design competition! Entries are due June 14, 2024. DONATE YOUR ECLIPSE GLASSES OUTSIDE OF THE ACADEMIC PROGRAMS OFFICE
WiO is collecting eclipse glasses to send to Astronomers Without Borders. They will provide the recycled eclipse glasses to kids in South America, to view the next solar eclipse, Oct 2, 2024. Damaged glasses are acceptable, and will be checked upon receiving them.
Find the donation box in Academic Programs (Meinel 403). Drop off your glasses in that box on or before May 10th! WiO will be shipping the recycled glasses after the semester ends.
